Solarpro Holding Shares Listed on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, Sofia, June 7, 2010

Today, June 7, 2010, Solarpro Holding’s shares (0S8 ) were formally listed for trading on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange-Sofia AD. At a ceremony in BSE, the Deputy Chairman of the board of directors of Solarpro Holding Nikolay Berov officially launched the shares trading. The amount of the issue is 46,763,461 shares with a nominal value of BGN 1 each. The assigned stock ticker is 0S8, the first sign of the ticker being a number.  

Solarpro Holding is a vertically integrated holding structure, established in December 2009 as a result of restructuring activities of the leading Bulgarian industrial and financial group Alfa Finance Holding AD in the renewable energy field.

Solarpro Holding’s vision is to become a leader in the photovoltaic panels manufacturing in Europe and the largest system integrator of photovoltaic power plants in Bulgaria and the neighbouring countries. Solarpro’s production in Silistra will act as a driver of regional cluster for clean energy technology and production establishment.  

"Our strategy is to quickly and successfully complete the investment stage, by making further rapid growth and providing stable long-term returns for its shareholders, Our company aims at taking up a leading role as the EPC contractor for photovoltaic power plants in Bulgaria and the neighbouring countries", said Nikolay Berov, Deputy Chairman of the Board.

Another strategic objective is the continuous decrease in unit cost of installed capacity and improvement of the reliability of the PV systems through intensive R&D activities. The company will target also the international markets.

Solarpro Holding’s total assets at the end of 2009 exceeded BGN 82 million (Eur 41 million). The investments made between 2007 and 2010 in the companies that are currently part of Solarpro Holding exceed BGN 54 million (Eur 27 million).

Solarpro Holding has three main business lines. The first is the manufacture and installation of photovoltaic panels (Solarpro EAD). The second business line involves the production of technological equipment for the first production (AutomationPro). The third direction is the construction and O&M of photovoltaic power plants and other renewable energy generating facilities through SPVs, subsidiaries of Alfa Energy Holding EAD.

Solarpro Holding owns the largest operating PV park in Bulgaria, with total capacity 2.4-megawatt peak (MWp), located in the village of Yankovo, Shumen District. Yankovo solar park is the first completed PV project of Solarpro Holding. The plant has been successfully connected to the E.ON electricity distribution grid  and delivers electricity to the distribution company. Other projects in construction phase are the PV parks in Malko Tarnovo, Razlog, Kaolinovo, and Kardzhali. Third projects are at a preparatory stage – the PV power plants in Silistra and Vetovo. Solarpro Holding is also developing an investment plan to build a biomass power plant near Razlog. The planned projects are projected to total output of nearly 50-megawatt peak (MWp).

Solarpro Holding is controlled indirectly by Alfa Finance Holding (85.5%). Minority shareholders are Nikolay Berov (6.5%) and Rumyana Georgieva (6.5%). Konstantin Nenov is the Chairman of the Board of directors and CEO of the holding. Deputy Chairmen are Nikolay Berov and Rumyana Georgieva.
