Solarpro started construction of two new Photovoltaic power stations. The Company made first sod of solar power station in the city of Malko Tarnovo. On March 25th, the first sod of photovoltaic power station has been made in the presence of Burgas Region’s Governor, Mr. Konstantin Grebenarov, Malko Tarnovo Municipality Mayor, Mr. Ivan Ivanov, representatives of local and regional administration and the business. The terrain is 112 ha; planned capacity is 2.4 MWp. The photovoltaic park is constructed on recultivated industrial terrain, fulfilling with Company’s policy to preserve farm lands and protected territories.

The power plant belongs to Alfa Energy Malko Tarnovo Sole Partnership Limited Responsibility Company, part of Alfa Energy Holding. Alfa Energy Holding and Solarpro are part of Solarpro Holding – subsidiary to Kaolin Joint Stock Company. Earlier, mining company declared its intentions to register it for trade on Bulgarian Stock Exchange, after fulfilling with correspondent legal procedures. Stockholders of Kaolin Joint Stock Company will have the opportunity to exchange Kaolin Joint Stock Company stocks to Solarpro Holding stocks after its registration for exchange trade. This program will be carried out under conditions and in terms, which are to be defined additionally.

Few weeks ago Solarpro started fulfilling with the contract of power station in Devnya with total nominal capacity of 5 MWp under other investor’s order. Alfa Energy Holding plans to start the construction of at least two more photovoltaic parks with planned capacity of minimum 20 MWp.

Company’s strategy is to finish construction works for about 8 months. At the end of 2010 the park in Malko Tarnovo should start operating successfully and should be incorporated into electric transmission network, - announced Mrs. Rumyana Georgieva, Alfa Energy Holding Executive Director, Member of Solarpro Holding Board of Directors during power station in Malko Tarnovo first sod ceremony.
