Test PV power plant was installed on Solarpro plant’s roof in Silistra. It is incorporated into plant’s electric transmission network and produces electricity during lighted part of the day. The purpose is to study modules production technology’s properties and the properties of the system as a whole.

The power station consists of 90 frameless modules under technology of double transition thin layer amorphous silicon, 40 W each, situated and mounted to provide maximum energy production.

Data logger device and a small climate station, connected to the system, give information on capacity, energy, electricity, power, frequency, solar radiation, and temperature. Data are written automatically each 5 minutes and are published in Internet periodically. Based on these measurements we calculate indexes helping analyze system’s operation and compare it to other systems mounted throughout the world. Main parameters are Ratio (PR), specific energy production, system’s and its components’ effective power capacity.
